Clayton Lawrence

Clayton serves as Unio’s Chief Operating Officer, having joined the organization in April 2024. With over 26 years of healthcare management experience, 18 of which have been in physician practice management, he brings a wealth of expertise and operational acumen to the Unio leadership team. Driven by a desire to deliver best-in-class patient experience, Clayton has a keen focus on ensuring an effective and efficient environment to enable the patient care teams to excel.

Prior to joining Unio, Clayton spent 9 years with Sound Physicians, one of the nation’s leading hospital-based, multi-specialty provider groups. Most recently he served as Regional President of Operations, a role which spanned 12 states and supported more than 1,200 clinicians. During his tenure with the medical group, Clayton was integral in the development and execution of Value-Based Care contracting and service initiatives, along with ensuring a high level of operational effectiveness and leading financial outcomes. Previous healthcare experience includes operating vein treatment centers and fertility practices, and he has served in various hospital leadership roles. In addition to his healthcare leadership experience, Clayton served as a paramedic in Little Rock, Arkansas for a number of years, bringing firsthand emergency care expertise to his role.

As Chief Operating Officer, Clayton is focused on improving practice operations and ensuring the working environments are positioned to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for the patients we so honorably serve.
